Herpecin L Everyday Protection is great to use all over lips whereas new Herpecin L Pain Relief is best to use as targeted relief and applied only on the cold sore or fever blister area.

Herpecin L Pain Relief should be used directly on the cold sore or fever blister. Use fingers or the spot treatment nozzle to apply. Please keep out of eyes. If someone gets cold sores on, around, or in their nose then using Herpecin L Pain Relief will be fine.

To open the Herpecin L Pain Relief child-resistant closure, place your fingers on indicators located on the sides of the cap and squeeze down firmly while turning the cap to open.

FDA requires all topical products with lidocaine to have a child-resistant closure. Maximum strength lidocaine is one of Herpecin L Pain Relief’s active ingredients.

The formulation has not changed on Herpecin L. We did change the packaging of Herpecin L, but rest assured the formulation stayed the same. The name also changed to Herpecin L Everyday Protection since you can use it everyday to help keep lips in great shape and protected against some cold sore triggers.
